Brink Literary

Brink is an in-print literary journal dedicated to publishing hybrid, cross-genre work of both emerging and established creatives who often reside outside traditional artistic disciplines. By providing space primed to instigate new ideas, Brink fosters dialogue and collaborative community across disciplines and cultural divides.

Summer of the Arts

The mission of Summer of the Arts is to bring people together in the Iowa City Area to experience, learn about, and enjoy free arts and cultural programming. Our eight events showcase music, visual art, and movies from local, regional, national, and international artists. Our high-quality, all-ages programming is accessible to everyone in the form of weekly events and weekend-long festivals.Iowa City Summer of the Arts brings people together in the heart of Iowa City to experience, learn about, and enjoy free arts and cultural programs.

Riverside Theatre

Riverside Theatre is a professional theatre that connects artists and audiences through intimate, engaging, and provocative productions from the classics to new works, and provides an artistic home for regional theatre professionals.

Iowa City UNESCO City of Literature

The Iowa City UNESCO City of Literature organization manages the Iowa City area’s designation as a UNESCO City of Literature. The organization hosts readings, workshops, festivals, and other programming to engage local, regional, and international audiences with literature.

Porchlight Literary Arts Center

Home to PromptPress, Antelope Lending Library and Iowa City Poetry, PorchLight provides a space for innovative and community oriented literary practice. PorchLight offers residencies and writing retreats, as well as generative writing workshops, and reading series.

Public Space One

Public Space One (PS1) is an artist-led, community-driven contemporary art organization in Downtown Iowa City. PS1 programs events, exhibitions, projects, and performances, as well as maintaining an infrastructure to host community events.

FilmScene

FilmScene is Iowa City’s nonprofit cinema whose mission is to challenge, inspire, educate, and entertain our diverse communities through the shared discovery of film. With two locations and a seasonal outdoor cinema in Downtown Iowa City, we enrich the cultural vitality of the surrounding area through community-supported programming in a vibrant, accessible, equitable, and welcoming space.

The Englert Theatre

Englert Theatre in Iowa City, Iowa, is a renovated vaudeville-era playhouse now serving as a community arts center and 725-seat performance venue.
